Coops are different from condos or houses.

A cooperative (coop) unit is different from a condominium, house, or commercial property.

Why is that?

When you purchase a cooperative unit, what you really get is a corporation share certificate, like if you were buying shares of Apple or Amazon.

When you buy a condominium, house, or commercial property, you receive a deed.
