“I need a trust to protect my assets” is a statement I often hear from prospective clients. Their family members or friends have trusts and they think they need one, too. But, everyone does not need a trust. There are great reasons to create trusts and here are some of them:
} It’s all about the Control.
} Governmental Assistance
} Medicaid Planning
} Spendthrift
} Addiction
} Ease of Administration
If any of these conditions apply to yourself or your intended beneficiaries, then a conversation with an estate planning attorney is in order.
